GELCOAT
The first layer is composed of a gel coat. It is its quality that determines the aesthetics of the product both when purchasing and when using it. It is vital not only at the moment of purchasing but also during the time when the pool is used by its owners. Gel coat’s resistance to ageing, weather conditions, scratching and mechanical damage determines the durability of the product. It is also worth emphasising the role of gel coat which serves as a layer protecting the laminate against the impact of external factors. It is of paramount importance regarding products whose laminate is exposed to a regular contact with water or chemical agents.
The gel coat protects against penetration of dampness, water, chemicals, vapours, as well as renders surfaces sliding and glossy. The surface can be easily washed.
